Dr. Lyn Guenther Guest speaker in Miami AAD
Dr. Guenther recently attended the American Academy of Dermatology 68th Annual meeting in Florida, where she chaired a meeting on moderate-to-severe psoriasis and delivered a lecture on the sexual difficulties associated with the disease . Her research has shown that impaired sexual function is common in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis and that treatment with ustekinumab, a biologic, can significantly improve not only the skin, but also quality of life and sexual function. Dr. Guenther also had a poster presented which showed that long-term control of scalp psoriasis could be maintained with clobetasol propionate (Clobex® shampoo).
